The mountains are calling.

To be quite frank, I have not wanted to blog the past few weeks. I have not wanted to be a part of this blog space  I'm not sure if it's because of anything specifically -- I haven't been doing much and haven't had anything to post here, for one. But I also haven't been in the mood to do anything related to social media either. I've turned completely into a selective lurker.

Weirdly, though, I've been spending a lot more time on Tumblr.

So. Here's an update? Since I last posted, my brother went back to school and our household became three again. My parents are on their way to New York this weekend for a wedding, and I'm spending some time at home alone. I'm hoping it'll give me an opportunity to shake myself of this funk I've found myself wrapped up in.

A couple of weeks ago, we went on a hike that nearly killed me. I am completely out of shape! It's another goal to add to my list of things to do: get myself exercising again.

My brother and mom made a ridiculous feast for my dad's birthday last month. They're favorites from when we used to own a restaurant: mushroom risotto, short ribs, grilled vegetables. I could have bathed in that risotto, and I wouldn't have minded one bit!

We also checked out the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit here at the California Science Center. It was wildly underwhelming, and the organization of it all was terrible. We saw someone get punched in the face and my patience was tested that day. But! The CSC in itself was pretty neat. And free! So I'll be going back, just not for any special exhibits.

Anti-climactic, but that was about it. We saw an art installation being put together in MacArthur Park in Downtown, which was kind of interesting.

It sort of feels like I'm beginning to burn out, but -- whatever it is, I'm trying to keep pushing forward and remember that there isn't anything that can keep me down when I have God. And that's been comforting.

I'm pretty sure this is going to be one of those posts that I end up deleting months from now, but for the time being, it was nice to get some of my thoughts out and dip my toe back into the waters.

How have all of you been>?
