I just got back to LA yesterday, after spending a week in Oregon. It was so much fun, though jam packed with a lot of work and studying. Unfortunately, I didn't have enough time to go on hikes and do all the things that I wanted to do -- but, I knew that it wasn't going to be my last time in the area, so I went with the flow and took it easy.
Spring in Eugene (and I assume Oregon and the Pacific Northwest in general) is really wet. It rains on and off all the time and the temperatures are as ridiculously unpredictable as ever. While I'm not such a big fan of constant precipitation, I really enjoyed seeing the foliage wake up.
Flowers were beginning to bloom, moss was creeping on trees, leaves almost ready to burst from branches and turn paths from dreary to bright and lively.
Some highlights from my trip were: going to Portland for the first time, hanging out with my sister, catching up on Fresh Off the Boat, getting to disconnect a little bit from my phone and social media, and getting out of LA for a quick trip.
I've got a lot of photos to still go through and edit, so I'll get those up on the blog soon.
