Double rainbows, Lake Michigan, and fresh fruit

Okay, last I checked in we were still in St. Louis, on our way to Michigan.

We passed through an intense lightning storm (which I caught!). It let way to spectacular double rainbows.

That sunset was unreal.

We grit our teeth and finished the last stretch to Michigan, and sighed a thousand times of relief. After a bit of sleeping and eating, the next afternoon we decided to head out to Lake Michigan.

I don't know if anybody recalls, but I was a bit upset that I didn't get to play in the lake when I was in Chicago. It was time for redemption.

Not pictured: the intense rain storm we hit halfway to the lake, fingers crossed that it would clear up by the time we got there.

Not bad, right?

We originally went to Kirk Park, but headed up towards somewhere in Grand Haven for another look. The hike wasn't something we were terribly interested in doing as it was still drizzling (and sandals!), so we played a little bit before setting off again.

My brother took the camera and took some artsy shots.

The best part! Oh, the best best best part was stopping by this place on the side of the road next to a corn field that had the most amazing fruit. Apples were picked that day and were deliiiicious. The plums, awesome. The corn..don't get me started. The sweetest corn I've ever had.

If you're ever in the area, you must go! You can find their website here.
